The story
Rosalía trained formally in flamenco for years — El Mal Querer began as her graduation thesis at the Catalonia College of Music — before running the tradition through trap production, Auto-Tune and reggaetón on Motomami. Purists objected; the records won Latin Grammys and a global audience. Her 2025 album LUX moved again, toward orchestral and choral arrangement.
