The story
boygenius is Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, three songwriters who met on a shared 2018 tour and recorded an EP in secret rather than accept the rivalry the industry had arranged for them. There is no frontwoman: all three write, all three sing lead, and the harmonies are the point. the record won three Grammys in 2024, including Best Alternative Music Album.
