The story
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter went from Destiny's Child to the most decorated artist in Grammy history by treating each album as a self-contained argument: Lemonade as a visual film, Renaissance as a history lesson in Black dance music, Cowboy Carter as a claim on country. She founded Parkwood Entertainment in 2010 and has controlled her own masters, release strategy and staging ever since. The surprise-drop model she pioneered in 2013 is now standard industry practice.
