Geoff Downes is the keyboardist of Asia and a former member of Yes. Before Asia, he was one half of the New Wave duo The Buggles, known for "Video Killed the Radio Star," the first video ever played on MTV. He joined Yes briefly in 1980, then co-founded Asia in 1981. He has remained Asia's keyboard player throughout most of the band's history.
