Tom Johnston

Tom Johnston is the co-founder, lead vocalist, and primary guitarist of the Doobie Brothers. He wrote many of the band's early hard-driving hits including "Listen to the Music," "Long Train Runnin'," and "China Grove." After health issues caused him to step back in the mid-1970s, he returned to the band and has remained a cornerstone member throughout their career.
