Who We Are

A&R Guru is a band-management platform operated by Ames & Associates. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information — name, email address, and password when you register.
Profile information — optional details you choose to add, such as location, instruments, photo, and mobile phone number.
Band activity — songs, setlists, votes, events, and other content you create while using the platform.
Fan signups — if you follow a band as a fan, the name, email address, and optional phone number you submit.

How We Use Your Information

To operate the platform — bands, setlists, voting, events, and bookings.
To send notifications you have requested (email and, with your explicit consent, SMS text messages).
To respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

SMS / Text Messaging

A&R Guru sends SMS text messages only to people who have explicitly opted in by checking the SMS consent box at registration, in their account settings, or on a band's fan-signup form. We record the date and time consent is given.

Messages we send include:

Band membership invitations
Event and rehearsal reminders
Show announcements from bands you follow (fan opt-in only)

Opting out: reply STOP to any message, or uncheck the SMS consent box in your account settings. You will receive no further texts.
Help: reply HELP or email support@ar-guru.com.
Message & data rates may apply. Frequency varies with your band activity.
No third-party sharing: mobile phone numbers and SMS consent records are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages described above.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers needed to run the platform (e.g. hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery), and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention & Your Choices

You can edit or delete your profile information at any time from your account settings. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email support@ar-guru.com.
